Legal accountability

Business, charity & corporate legal findings

Framed honestly as a lifetime record, not presidential conduct: most presidents never ran businesses, so the comparison set is empty by biography, not virtue. All items are court or regulator outcomes.

All other presidents in window (Clinton, Bush, Obama, Biden), comparable enterprise findingsnoneNo enterprises to compare

The one near-comparison: Bush's Harken Energy stock sale drew an SEC inquiry that closed without action, an investigation, not a finding, so it stays off the table. The fairness cost of this panel is disclosed rather than hidden: it measures a businessman-president against presidents who were never businessmen. Its value is context for the personal-liability and officials-convicted charts, the adjudicated pattern (fraud findings, charity misuse, corporate convictions, AML failures) predates the presidency by decades and is continuous with it.
